The following instructions show how to check if your IE browser (for PC) has been set up with Javascript enabled. These instructions and screengrabs are based on Internet Explorer 5 which may differ from other versions.

Similar instructions are also available for IE (Mac version), Netscape (PC version) and Netscape (Mac version).

1. Go to the Tools options in the top toolbar and select Internet Options.

2. Click on the Security tab at the top of the Internet Options box.

3. The Default Level settings for Internet, Local Intranet and Trusted Sites should enable scripting. To check this select the required Web content zone and click on the Custom Level button.

4. In the Security Settings box check that Scripting is enabled.

5. If any settings are changed, click on the Apply button.

6. You may also need to click on the Refresh button in the top toolbar for javascript to be fully enabled on the page currently being viewed.
